As of 1:30 today I received almost an inch of rain! And as you can see from the thermometer, it is nice and cool outside.
I went over to my Mom’s home and while she was busy doing something, I went outside and “played” in the rain and went in search of what is in blossom today. Here’s one of her pretty gladiolas:

This is about the time my Mom called out the window to ask me what I was doing. I told her I was “playing” in the rain! It felt good to be able to breathe freshly “washed” air for a change and feel the rain on my skin! The trees were pretty in the rain:
After I was done outside, I went inside to give the kitty a brushing and massage. Afterwards, she was enjoying life as usual by rolling all over the place and making her prrrrrr noises at me.

awww, the cat is soo cute! Awww! Yeah for the rain and I am surprised we didn’t get more than that! Its needed though! My day was great also, thanks!
We had a good day, too, Pam. Dry and hot as usual, but good.
We might get some rain this week but I’m not counting on it. When it does, I’ll play outside, too! I like your Mom’s Gladiolas.
We had some rain too. The birds at the feeder seemed delighted.
We were at the northern fringe of the rain system you received. Our rainfall was more like a drizzle, but the cooler temps are welcome. Those wet images are lovely.
We have had a significant amount of moisture here as well. It’s a pleasant change of pace, but seems to be a precursor of winter and I’m not ready for that!
We got a good amount of rain on Saturday and through the night. I’m glag you got some too.

We have had heavy rain all day, too. I was thinking of taking my camera out, but I am lazy- stayed indoors and handquilted.
What is the name of that pink mum? It is a beautiful color.
