And The Leaves Fell All At The Same Time. . .

well, almost. But it seemed like it. They’ve been hanging on forever here, and last weekend it got really cold and most of them decided to fall all at once. So there were a ton of leaves to rake at my house, and five tons at my Mom’s house. Needless to say, we spent all day yesterday raking and piling, raking and piling. . .

I took this photo of a sycamore leaf before they all fell down. Before we raked, you couldn’t even see the grass.

And even though my Mom has had a killing frost at her home, her anenomes still are in blossom.

I love these flowers!  We could have snow and they still will be blooming.

    The flowers are gorgeous! We have snow here now and it would be so wonderful to see some outrageous color like that peeking through.

    Many hugs and happy Thanksgiving.

    Your flowers are so pretty. We had snow and killing frost but my flowers are still looking good. I guess it didn’t get cold enough yet. This was a very long beautiful season for fall colors.

    Shouldn’t be too long and everything will be white from the snow! 🙂

    I still have leaves here, but they are slowly, ever so slowly, starting to disappear. Even rain and wind doesn’t move them along too fast, though.

    Hi Laurie!! Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving to you, too! {{{Hugs}}}

    Linda – I’m glad you still have flower color. I love having it as long as we can.

    Jayne – Thank you! I wasn’t too sore, thankfully!

    Mon@rch – YUCK! You just had to mention that white stuff! I am sooo not ready for winter!

    Carolyn – I’m already looking forward to spring to bring the green leaves back, even though we can still see some leaves around here, too.

    When it rains, it pours? A strong wind is blowing through here and the trees are becoming bare before my eyes!
